Katie graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1993 with a B.S. degree in Occupational Therapy. She has worked in a variety of settings including inpatient rehab, acute rehab, Long Term Acute Care Hospital, and owned her own private practice providing Pediatric therapy services in Cedartown (1995-2012) in the home through BCW, clinic and school settings. She has attended continuing education courses in sensory integration, Kinesiotaping, oral motor and feeding, handwriting, neordevelopmental tx and received certification in Hippotherapy.
She lives in Cedartown with her husband Clay and her daughter Kinsey who will attend college in the fall 2019. She has a son, Kyle, who is a student at Kennesaw State University.
